The British Association of Dramatherapists' Charity (BADth Charity) is delighted to announce that Headway Nottingham has been successful in its bid for funding to employ a Dramatherapist to enhance rehabilitation services.

The grant of £6,000 will be used to employ a Dramatherapist who will offer group and one-to-one sessions for brain-injured clients at Headway House in Nottingham, adding to the existing range of rehabitation activities designed to help with confidence building, physical co-ordination, social skills, communication and relationships.  

 

Charlotte Leask, Services Manager at Headway Nottingham, said:

'Our clients have experienced Dramatherapy previously and hugely enjoyed and benefitted from the sessions - they often ask when we will be able to offer it again.  We are so pleased that this grant means that we will be able to do so.'

The acting Chair of Trustees at the BADth Charity, Jonathan Hirst, added:

'The Trustees are pleased to be awarding this substantial sum, our largest grant to date, to this worthwhile project.  Dramatherapy is a relatively unfamiliar, but wonderfully effective, therapeutic approach and we anticipate that Headway Nottingham's project will be a huge success.'
