Brain injury turns lives upside down without warning. Long-lasting physical disabilities, cognitive impairments and behavioural issues can leave individuals unable to recognise the person they once were and often isolated in their communities.
We provide long term health & social rehabilitation, help & advice, respite, guidance & support to individual’s, carer’s and families who have been affected by brain injury across Nottingham & Nottinghamshire.

Brain injury doesn't just affect the person living with the condition, it also affects those around them. Family, friends and loved ones also have to adjust to life after brain injury and it can be very difficult.
Progression, redeveloping skills and finding you again might feel a long way away after a brain injury. At our friendly and welcoming rehabilitation centre we will work with you to achieve your goals and help you reach your potential.
At Headway Nottingham we accept referrals from all sources, be that a self referral to a referral from a professional health or social care worker. Once the referral is made we will make contact with the individual or their carer and work with them to formulate a suitable plan of progression.
Our Outreach Worker is likely to be the first person you will meet from Headway Nottingham as they handle all new referrals. Our Outreach Worker will aim to visit you at home within one month and work with you to formulate a plan to help you progress.
