Fundraising target: Raise what you can

Registration fee: £0

On 6 April 2020, Captain Tom Moore set out round his garden to raise money for our NHS heroes.#CaptainTom100 for Headway Nottingham

One hundred laps later, he'd raised an incredible £38.9 million for the NHS Covid-19 Appeal.

His simple message of hope – "Tomorrow will be a good day" – inspired millions around the world and brought comfort and joy to so many during the pandemic.

Captain Tom 100 Challenge

Now it's your turn to build on that legacy. Friday 30 April would have been his 101st birthday and to honour him and his amazing achievements, you’re invited to join people all around the world in the Captain Tom 100 challenge for Headway Nottingham.

Why support Headway Nottingham?

The need for specialist brain injury support, information and rehabilitation grows year on year.

Our mighty team are still providing a lifeline of invaluable support despite the restrictions of COVID-19.  Through this difficult time we're providing activities, supportive online rehabilitation workshops and regular welfare calls for many with underlying health conditions, who's need for support with their brain injuries has not lessened over this pandemic. You can help to make life easier and safer.

By supporting Headway Nottingham today, you will help us deliver the practical and emotional support that local people with brain injuries, their families and carers need.

Your donation today could help towards:

  • The provision of Creative Writing workshops, encouraging improvements in cognitive processes, language skills and confidence.
  • The cost of providing 100 welfare calls a week, providing friendship, reassurance and ensuring our clients are safe and well.
  • Providing brain injury specialised support in the community, making sure we reach those struggling alone with profound disabilities at the earliest opportunity.

What else do I need to know?

There are no rules – apart from the government guidelines on how to exercise safely during this time.

The main thing is to have fun and pledge whatever you can to help people affected by brain injury throughout Nottingham. They need us and we need you, now, more than ever.
