Apply to Join our Board of Trustees

We are looking for talented and experienced individuals to join our friendly and committed board of trustees as we look to expand an already impressive skills base.

There are many reasons why someone may want to become a trustee, what's yours?

Maybe you would like to give something back to your local community.  Perhaps your life has been affected by brain injury and you want to use your valuable insight to improve the outcomes of others.  Your employer may look favourably on those who commit some of their time to help third sector organisations.  Whatever your reason, we can assure you that becoming a trustee of Headway Nottingham will be a rewarding experience, and one that is truly appreciated by the people supported by us.

Click here to read the thoughts of one of our current trustees.

The role of trustee is voluntary one and as a member of the board you will play a vital role and actively work with the other trustees and Services Manager to maintain and improve standards within our organisation.  This will consist of a once monthly evening meeting and occasional sub committee meetings as appropriate.  We would like you to learn more about our area of expertise and be committed to our core values, aims and objectives.  Acting as an ambassador for Headway Nottingham we would expect you to do all you can to raise awareness about the effects of brain injury in order to raise our profile in the area and help maximise Headway Nottingham's huge potential.

We would particularly welcome applicants with knowledge and experience of small business, comms and PR, IT and fundraising.  A small commitment of your time could make all the difference to those in Nottingham and Nottinghamshire living with the long-term effects of brain injury.
