Whether you're spending time with family and friends or resting and recuperating more quietly, we hope you have a wonderful time.  Here's some important information to help you navigate this break.

Tuesday 2nd January 2024: although our centre will be closed, staff return to their duties and will be available to support you by telephone, email and post from this date.  If you have a query while we're closed, please leave us an answerphone message on 0115 9679669 or email at [email protected] and we'll respond as soon as possible from Tuesday 2nd January. 

Monday 8th January 2024: the doors to Headway Nottingham's centre reopen and we'll be excited to welcome you back for more achievement, friendship and laughter!  Transport arrangements and attendance days will remain the same and you don't need to do anything different to join us in the new year.

If you require non-urgent medical advice and your GP surgery is closed please call 111.

If you require more urgent medical help please make your way to your nearest accident and emergency department or call 999. 

Mental health support 

We know this time of year isn't easy for everyone.  Do remember that this break will pass and you will soon have access to any usual support networks. However, if you are feeling low and you need someone to talk to, there is support available during the Christmas period and beyond.

Voice telephone calls: the Samaritans helpline is staffed 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.  You can call them on 116 123 for free from any phone and this will not appear on itemised bills.

Support by text message: text SHOUT to 85258 and someone will be in touch with you by text as soon as possible.

Email support: the Samaritans email helpline is also available all year round.  Just email [email protected].
